Oscar 2019 Nominations Are Announced
Awards season is well under way. The Academy unveiled the nominations for the 91st Annual Academy Awards on Tuesday. "Roma" and "The Favourite" racked up the most nominations, 10 each, this year. Lady Gaga picked up on her first Academy Award nomination for "A Star Is Born". "A Star Is Born" is one of eight films to be competing to win Best Picture, along with "Black Panther", "BlacKkKlansman," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "The Favourite," "Green Book," "Roma," and "Vice." Fatima Ali Dies at Age 29
Fatima Ali, 29, from the most recent season of Bravo's Top Chef, passed away on Friday, Bravo announced. Fatima was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a form of cancer, at the end of 2017. Fatima came in seventh on season 15 of 'Top Chef' and deemed the title of being a fan favorite. At the beginning of 2018, she had chemotherapy and surgery to remove a tumor in her left shoulder. Fatima was told she only had one year to live. She shared her struggle by documenting on her Instagram account. Many 'Top Chef' contestants have paid tribute to her on social media.
Anne Hathaway Confirms A 'The Princess Diaries 3' is in Progress
Your majesty, Anne Hathaway, better known for her iconic role as the Princess of Genovia, may return to film. Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey were the guests on Thursday's episode of 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'. While answering questions from fans who called into the show, Anne confirmed that there is a script written for the third 'The Princess Diaries' movie. Her costar, Julie Andrews, and producer, Debra Martin Chase, are interested in making this film come to life. Anne ended her response to the question stressing the importance that a third 'The Princess Diaries' movie is "as important to us as it is to you, and we don’t want to deliver anything until it’s ready, but we’re working on it."
