'The Bachelor' Recap: Season 23, 'The Women Tell All' Episode

Writer's picture: samanthakaplansamanthakaplan

For those of you who don't know, 'The Women Tell All' essentially reunites the contestants who were on the most recent season of 'The Bachelor'. The women dish out the drama. Closure and amends are sometimes made. These episodes are quite unpredictable, and can result in being an "audition to be the next Bachelorette" or "an audition to be casted on 'Bachelor in Paradise.'"

The episode of 'The Women Tell All' for this season of 'The Bachelor' arrived faster than I expected. The women did not fail to bring out the sass, the tears, and the clap-backs!

All of the women who have been eliminated so far were not all in attendance. The following women were at 'The Women Tell All' taping below. Top Row (Left to Right): Alex B., Bri, Tahzjuan, Adrienne "Jane", Alex D., Nina, Angelique, Tracy, Katie, Caitlin, and Catherine.

Bottom Row (Left to Right): Caelynn, Demi, Kirpa, Hannah B., Onyeka, Heather, Courtney, Sydney, and Nicole.

'The Women Tell All' episode starts off with a segment that includes video clips from some of the biggest breakups from past seasons and ending with Colton's infamous fence-jump after Cassie eliminated herself. (Was this a time filler?) Chris asks for Nicole's opinion about the fence-jump, and she responds with describing it as "raw." Heather and Sydney put in their two cents about it too.

Hannah B. and Onyeka share their first impressions meeting Colton/Colton being the bachelor.

A few sloths are in attendance at 'The Women Tell All' taping, and one of those 'sloths' includes Alex D. (Fast forward to 2:28 in the video in case you don't remember her .)

Catherine's "Record Breaking" Number of Interruptions On Night One

Chris mentions "the rivalries" that brewed between some of the contestants, and there was a video to show them. As soon as the video ends, Courtney interrogates Demi asking what she did for her to be named "the cancer of the house." Chris navigates the conversation by rewinding all the way to when Catherine interrupted four times while women were having their one-on-one time with Colton on Night One. Catherine explains that she put her life on hold to get to know Colton and how she "was there for the right reasons." Tahzjuan throws in her opinion, and says that "'The Catherine Show' is cancelled." Here is Catherine's response to Tahzjuan, "Wait, didn't you get out Night One?"

The Onyeka vs. Nicole Drama

Onyeka chiming in about Catherine's interruptions prompted Chris to steer the conversation to mention Onyeka's drama with Nicole. Nicole gets emotional while she was watching the video clips from the drama between her and Onyeka. She expresses that Onyeka bullied her, but then Onyeka interrupts her. Tracy steps in, and a few women start to talk at the same time. Onyeka stands up to give Nicole "a quick lesson" on vocabulary by providing a definition for the word "bully," which she then quotes Ariana Grande, "thank u next." Then, Nicole stands up and gives examples for how Onyeka treated her.

After Caitlin's comment, Nina and Tracy talk at the same time, which makes it difficult to decipher what they are saying. Sydney brings up how Onyeka made a lot of noise—referring to when she was interrupted by her during cocktail hour before a rose ceremony earlier in the season. Sydney sticks up for Nicole, but Onyeka retaliates and more women begin to talk at the same time (again.)

The Caelynn vs. Katie Drama

Chris brings up how a few women warned Colton to be cautious of some of the women's intentions and whether they will be ready for an engagement. One of those women who warned Colton was Katie as she was leaving Vietnam. Caelynn expresses she was hurt by how Katie threw her (and Cassie) "under the bus." When Katie warned Colton, she was hinting at Caelynn and Cassie. Katie was close with both women, but she saw that what they valued "didn't seem to align up with what Colton wanted." She then says that the conversation between Caelynn and Cassie about being the next bachelorette happened while the two were on the bus from the airport in Singapore to the hotel.

Caelynn takes over the conversation by sharing her perspective on what happened to "set the record straight." Caelynn informs that she and Katie had a conversation after filming the show and Katie said "verbatim" what Caelynn says during her explanation, resulting in the reaction below...

Katie brings up Hannah B. (referring to how Hannah B. had beef with Caelynn in their past from when they competed in the Miss USA 2018 pageant.) Hannah B. avoids getting into the drama, however, she tells Chris Harrison that she sides with Katie about the conversation on the bus in Singapore. Hannah B. compares her and Caelynn's relationship to "oil and water", but they are in a good place being able to support one another.

The Demi vs. Courtney Drama

Chris Harrison moves the conversation over to Demi, first asking her about "The Cougar Club." Tracy explains her opinion on how she felt about "The Cougar Club" and her experience with Demi. Meanwhile, Courtney jumps into the conversation, calling Demi "a child." Demi lists the number of ways in which Courtney "rubbed her the wrong way." When Demi tries to continue speaking, Courtney interrupts continuously hollering, "Times up, times up..."

Nina asks Courtney if given the chance, would she go back and use her time more wisely to talk to Colton. Now onto, Demi's clapback to Courtney, "It's 2019 and you still haven't talked to Colton."

Then, Chris brings up how Demi called Courtney "the cancer of the house." Courtney expresses her feelings, and Demi apologizes for her comment. Chris gives Courtney the final word. Courtney talks about how Demi has "the maturity of a three-year-old child", and during this rant, she stands up, walks over to Demi, and sticks a baby pacifier into Demi's face. Demi throws the pacifier back to Courtney.

Demi In The Hot Seat

Demi is the first cast member Chris calls up to sit in the hot seat. Demi watches a video that looks back on her time while she was on 'The Bachelor.' She reflects back on her experience, her relationship with Colton, and being proud to be who she is. Chris even alludes to Demi maybe going to "paradise" (hinting at 'Bachelor in Paradise'.)

Nicole In The Hot Seat

Nicole is the next cast member to sit in the hot seat. Nicole watches a video montage of her time on 'The Bachelor.' Nicole talks about how she expresses herself and about her family roots. Then, Chris Harrison gives Nicole a surprise to help her deal with her emotions...Halo Top is hooking Nicole up with a year-supply of ice cream!!!

Hannah B. In The Hot Seat

Hannah B. watched a video montage about her journey on ’The Bachelor.’ She talked about her relationship with Colton, and how she felt when Colton sent her home. Chris has Hannah B. give a toast. (She struggled with giving one on her first one-on-one date with Colton during Week 2.) Congrats Hannah B. on making a toast successfully! Roll tide!

Caelynn In The Hot Seat

Caelynn speaks to Chris about her relationship with Colton, and how she felt when they broke up. Chris praises Caelynn for sharing her story, and for raising awareness about sexual violence. Caelynn mentions the outpour of support she has been receiving.

Colton In The Hot Seat

Alas, Colton takes his place in the hot seat. Demi is the first to speak to Colton. She tells him about how she has grown, and thanks him for the experience. She also “introduces” Colton To Courtney. (Referring to how Courtney never had the chance to speak to Colton at the cocktail party during Week 4.)

Hannah B. shares her words with Colton about how she was confused as to why he broke up with her, even though she thought they were on the same page. However, she wishes him the best and hopes that they can be cool with each other. Sydney asks Colton if he is still a virgin, and he dodges answering the question.

The Bloopers

Now onto "the best time of the night", according to Chris Harrison...The bloopers! Equipment fell, women ran away from bugs, and some of the footage included MANY clips of Colton saying, “Nailed it!” The end of 'the bloopers' segment featured Colton's dancing.

That's a wrap on 'The Women Tell All'! I wonder who will be the next bachelorette and who will head be heading off to 'Bachelor in Paradise’...
